We are pleased to announce to the membership that all the hard work in submitting funding applications has paid off and we have been successful in getting a grant for four years from the Big Lottery Reaching Communities fund for a project entitled “Stronger Together“. This is to fund the salaries of a full time project manager (37.5 hours per week), two project officers (30 hours per week) and a part-time administrator (22.5 hours per week)

It is hoped that with this funding and a full complement of staff we will be able to deliver activities to young people, which will help reduce involvement in criminal/anti-social behaviour and better equip them with improved transferable skills in confidence, team work and communications. With regards to the elderly people we will look at reducing isolation through participation in regular exercise and intergenerational activities as well as increase social networks and friendships.
